Lot Shops

Ford City is a very unique neighbourhood that attracts a number of diverse and innovative businesses and customers. The street is in the process of much needed redevelopment and that takes time. Since we are limited to spaces where small businesses can open up we thought what better way than with “Lot Shops”.

What’s a Lot Shop?  A Lot Shop is a 8’ x 12’ wooden shed that will sit side by side on the vacant lot next to 1036 Drouillard. We are looking for small makers and retailers who are looking to pop-up on a 4 month contract to sling your product(s). For the 2026 season, we will have TWO Lot Shops available. Both units will be a clean slate for you to do with what you wish inside (we’ll provide a small AC unit but they’ll be best utilized with the large door open). Also feel free to decorate the area around your shop to draw in customers. Price: $200/mth which includes utilities.  

All tenants will be required to provide proof of commercial insurance. 

The BIA will have a minimum requirement (every Friday, Saturday & Sunday) + major Ford City events that the sheds are open to ensure a successful season.
